animal/point of view

For me it was relatively easy to get a picture of my pet because he will pose for a photo. I think this is a good photo because the dog is not looking directly into the camera and is looking off into the distance.

I think my photo is unique because there is snow on the tree and it was winter time. My photo was taken from an ants eye point of view.

double exposure

For my double exposure I used trees as the background and used a picture of my dog as the main focal point. I'm happy with the outcome of this photo.

close up and reflection

This is just a simple reflection photo taken off the hood of my car. I like its cause its different than a simple picture in a mirror.

This is my close up image. It was a little difficult to take because it was hard to get the camera to focus at such a close distance.

architercture

This is an architecture picture from last summer when I was in California. This picture could be used in a travel book showing possible visiting points in California.

background change

My favorite part of this photo is how my food looks like it is resting on the rock

blemish removal

This photo shows before blemish removal.

This picture shows after blemish removal. Blemish removal is a very useful thing to know how to do but you can only do it to a certain extent. you can't over do it or it starts to look too different.

Self Portrait

For this photo I sharpened the image so you could see more detail. I also increased some of the saturation because the photo was a little white when it started.

Light and Shadow

I think that the reason this photo works so well is because there is snow on the ground which allowed there to be lots of shadow. I think the photo has very nice shadow and a nice range of values.

I think that the photo works well because the subject in the photo is lighter than the background. This makes the photo work. There is also lots of snow on the ground which makes the subject stand out.

Panning

I uploaded a panning picture from the gym. I used the shutter speed 1/100. I like this shutter speed because it keeps some of the photo clear while other parts are in motion and blurry.

Lighitng

I uploaded this picture because I feel it shows nice light. You can see the sun in the corner of the screen which gives some of the branches good shadow and value.

Scavenger Hunt/Studio Portraits

This was a portrait taken in a dark room with a lamp pointed at one side of her face. This photo has nice lights and darks making it a nice composition and the subject is not in the center of the frame.

This is a photo from the scavenger hunt portion of the project. The photo is taken at an angle which leaves the front of the picture in focus and as the picture goes back it blurs.

Dodge and Burn

Dodging and burning was not my favorite project. I found it difficult to do. For this photo I burned around a leaves for about 15 seconds and i dodged in some of the darker areas where there was more black and shadow.

Depth Of Field

This photo shows a short depth of field. The background is blurry leaving the foreground in focus. The photo has good blacks and whites which shows nice values. The photo is a little grey and that is because it was taken on an overcast day.

This photo shows a long depth of field. The whole photo is in focus and there are no blurred spots. Its a little grey because the photo was taken when the sun started to go down.

High Contrast

I feel that i got very nice high contrast out of this picture. It has very nice whites and blacks. The photo is sharp and in focus but the object of the picture is a little to centered.

This photo has high contrast but it is not at good as the other photo. It turned out a little grey and you can't see the white sky like I thought you would be able to. It was a little overcast when this photo was taken so it is a little grey.

Solarization

This picture was from our high contrast photography assignment. I chose to use to for solarization       because it has very nice white and black values. I exposed the the paper for 15 seconds, put it in the developer for 10 seconds, then re exposed the print for 2 seconds. This is my favorite print from solarization. The other prints were either too light or too dark.
